Indicators flash very fast when turning usually when brakes are on and am waiting at lights. When moving without brakes on, indicators are fine. If it is a short or earth problem, how can it be found easily. Or is it some "flasher can" replacment part problem? Thanks

Hi & Welcome
Indicators normally flash fast when one bulb is out. If as you say this only happens when brake lights are applied then you probably have an earthing issue. As 210 rear lights are not the most reliable in the world I would take all the bulbs out and really clean up the contacts on the bulb and holder in the first instance.

Likewise Blob.

Although I would get a friend to stand behind or reverse against a shop window to see reflection of lights - to see if there is any power to indicators 'bleeding' across into others in cluster & do it with the sidelights on & in reverse gear to deliberately load curcuit & highlight problem better.

If circuit is bleeding across into side or brake lamps etc, then the earth's are largely to blame.

When I 1st bought my E280, I immediately changed all No. plate, brake, & sidelight bulbs, as my bulb failure lamp was going on / off at varying intervals.

Changing bulbs made all the difference & you should have seen the old ones that came out - must have been in there from new over 12 years ago.
