I own a 1993 C250D and occasionally while driving the indicators and the intermittment wiper stop working. The only way I can get them to work is to push the stalk in to wash the windows and turn on the wipers, or restart the engine. It clearly sound like an electrical problem of some kind. The only causes I can think of are dirty / worn contacts or a faulty relay. I have checked the fuses and they are fine.

Any advice on how to track this down and fix the problem gratefully received.

Thanks
Chris

Thanks for your help.

I finally got around to replacing the relay and the indicators work fine. The circuit board was cracked in the old relay.
