Indicators

Hi,

My wife's 230 SLK has developed a fault with the indicators, very occacionally they will illuminate, but will not flash. I have changed a small control relay beneath the fuse box, but this has made no difference. I have three questions for the experts out there, has anyone experienced this before and what was the fix and is it an easy job to sort?

Not that straightforward I'm afraid. The wiring for the indicators is a bit spread out. An important part for SLK (170shape) indicators is the PSE pump in the boot. Check this area isn't wet. Don't know wether Malc could get you up a wiring diagram or a link to one. Also where abouts are you?? There may be some good indies in your area.

Thanks for reply, the boot is totally dry, I may be wrong, but when they DO work I hear a clicking noise (like a flasher unit) from under the bonnet somwhere under the battery area - does this help? My location is near Staines / Woking - Surrey area
