Hi everyone,

I just bought a E320 with the M104 straight six and the problem is that there is an intake from the air filter to the mass sensor which has blown to bits(3 pieces to be precise). It singed the rubber connecting it to the filter. I started the car normally and heard a small "bump" and the car was idling normally. As i drove 20 meters it stopped and said battery charge on the display.I put in a new battery and when i opened the bonnet i saw the pipe was blown off. What could be the reason. A backfire possibly. Otherwise the car has been great till now.

Your Mercedes
E320 Coupe 95
If it has "battery charge" on a display it will be the 210 model.

Although same engine layout in essence.

Is the front drive belt still intact ????????????

Hi guys, my mech found out it needed a new air mass sensor which has been ordered but there is a rubber pipe and a plastic pipe that travel to the intake manifold. It had the AMS number on it and i dont know what they are. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
