Have you considered getting an icarsoft MB2 , (or i980) which "might" tell you what you need to know ?

Im pretty sure Mb Carsoft cannot do what I need. Which is ‘enable start of engine after crash reset’

I think you are right , never seen it on my icarsoft . Can't help with a mobile Indy with Star I'm afraid , you might have to get recovered/towed ?
