Does anyone have the workshop instructions on how to replace the hydraulic pump on the above engine please?

I have now begun the process of removing the defective hydraulic pump. Before I began though I wanted to get her a little bit warmed up before hand to make all the pipes a bit easier to remove. She wouldn't start. Checked the battery voltage, bit low so tried a boost. Still nothing. Put battery on charge for a bit. Still wouldn't charge. Then I remembered something. No, it couldn't possibly be that surely. And if it was, how did it get in there?!! A quick undo of the inlet pipe to the fuel filter and I could not believe it. White diesel!!!!
Now before anyone jumps on the bandwagon again, no I have not re cleaned the engine. All I have done recently was give the outside a damn good clean.
So HOW has water suddenly got into the fuel tank AGAIN?!!!!!

only one way... water got in (and or is still getting in) and you didn't get it all out

could it have had some in the return line and that had now gone round....

I am completely foxed now. Unless, it was via the water system perhaps. I'm asking around everywhere

Okay. Almost removed the hydraulic pump however the last hose nut is proving very hard to undo. Has anyone got any secret weapons for getting this nut out? It's on the hose that goes down the right side of the engine and i am guessing down to the steering rack.

Managed to get the pump out and replaced only to find that the inlet manifold is caked in oil and carbon deposits. So, frustratingly I have started to remove it for a damn good clean and dry out.
