Hello Everyone, I'm new to this forum and have been reading and learning about comand.

I have a 2006 C180 (W203). I have sourced a comand that will fit on this car.
Havent purchased it yet, but have paid £50.00 deposit for it at a place that takes Mercedes cars in after an accident, the unit has been removed form the car.

I keep reading that I may require a wiring loom to install it. Is this true?
And if I require this wiring loom, where can I purchase it?

I see that Alfie is the guru on comands, Alfie do you sell them, and is so how much and where can I send payment.

Sorry for all the questions, but dont want purchase and then things go belly up.
Thank you in advance.

You do not need any loom adapters for a facelfited W203 which yours is. The comand unit will plug in if/when you carefully dismantle the centre dash.

However, you will need to source an antennae and firmly affix it where it can get a good signal. You WILL then need to get it all coded up because unless your car has the same options as the one the unit came out of, then it will most likely just switch off after a few seconds. You are best off getting it flashed with the latest firmware at the same time you get the cluster enabled and the MOST ring configured.

If you come to me, I can install it and get it all coded and flashed for you for a very reasonable fee. PM me if you are interested.

EDIT; Before you buy one, I have these units in stock with warranty. If you want a comparison quote, let me know.

Hi Alfie,

Thank you for the early reply.
God I have read all your posts and you are a bundle of knowledge and always a help.

I would love to get you to install it, but I'm in Central Scotland, and there isnt many installers here.
Have you ever thought of having an instaler based in Scotland?

Since I have paid a deposit on it, I might as well get it from there now, but we are also purchasing a new Merc in August and will defo get comand for that from you.
