Instrument lights R171 SLK200

Hi. I am new here and not technically minded. The dashboard lights on my 2007 Mercedes SLK200 (R171) don't work. Any clues?

Are they turned down? There are 3 buttons in the left hand side of the binnacle - 1 resets the trip mileage the other 2 put the brightness up or down on the backlighting of the clocks

The ribbon cable that connects the three buttons is common for pulling away from it’s connection to the main PCB. Easy fix though. Are any of your three buttons working?

Hi . Thank you for the reply. No, the buttons on the left POD make nom difference at all I am afraid.

Hi, The Reset button works for re-setting the various items in the menus but the + and - buttons do not work. Any help in resolving would be really appreciated
