instrument panel electrical connections

I have removed the instrument panel on my 1997 e320 so that I can change the light bulbs.I am unable to remove the electrical connections on the back of the panel.How do you unlock them?

You either squeeze a clip or I think on yours that you pull back the gray locking lever that goes over the top, once pulled right back it lifts the plug out as you go
