We have been through this Insurance maze with our 17 year old who now drives a 2 litre VW much cheaper than a 1.0 Corsa his best find an Alfa 156 diesel was cheaper than most presumably because the algorithm didn't haven't any data for 17 year old Alfa drivers.
My tip a Volvo S40 1.6D we just didn't find anything locally we liked.
