I think more people might follow my lead and start to car share. It more than halves the cost!

I think more people will start to drive without insurance, which will lead to no tax or MoT if this insurance prices keeps raising...........I drove for over 2 years without insurance, tax and MoT in this country, got caught many times and got off everyone of them.
In New Zealand it is not compulsory to have car insurance. Motorbike insurance is cheap, but your access is more than your bike is valued at. So pointless.

Add the government to your list, putting VAT onto insurance premiums was a disgraceful move on their part.
Wots new they get thier corner of whatever the insurer screws you out of

I’ve heard from insurers that after 72yrs they hike up the prices for older drivers.

Some tips from us:
- Consider speaking with a broker rather than insurers directly or comparison sites. This way they'll shop around for you around your requirements.
- Being proactive and getting quotes at least 21 days before, but you're on the case already which is good!
- If you have multiple cars, you can add your vehicles to the same policy which can provide discounts.

We're more than happy to look into it for you @ajlsl600. We're most competitive on specialist vehicles with limited mileage, or if there's at least one vehicles like this in a multi car policy.

We won't be able to quote right now as it's not within 30 days of your renewal, but if you'd like to fill in a form on our website with your renewal date (or thereabouts), we'll call you in a few weeks time for you?

Not sure if this is the right thread but the current dilemma is related to insurance. Here goes…

Repair for a recent scrape was inadequate not as what had been quoted to the insurance company. The supplier also damaged my vehicle during the repair (independent inspector verified). I had just chased them for what to do when a hit and run delivery van thumped my car in the exact same area where the repair would be the same.
I now have an agreement for remedial works plus some extra items that the assessor (a very nice chap), picked up on from an approved supplier of my choice from the insurer. The supplier has to provide a quote but everything is be okayed from the assessor now instead of the insurer’s engineers… can I get the worjs done with the damage now even though the part would still red to be replaced because of agree remedial works????

Just as well I sold the C180 this evening!
I had the renewal from 1st Central today.
Last year £262 45
Renewal in September £474 08

How is this justified? I'm a year older and made no claims.
I didn't need to inform them of my SP30 until renewal, which would add even more.!
I hate insurance. A necessary evil.

We both had a shock the other day , both renewals came in at nearly half last years , both at £130 each car . Couldn’t believe it , might be the cars ages have suddenly mean they aren’t worth anything ?
