I have a c200 203 with a diesel 646 motor which is low on power and keeps blowing of the air intake rubber on the turbo, now my understanding being very limited is there should be no pressure on this side of the turbo, I have fitted a new maf which works fine but the engine warning light stays on, so put the old one back on, engine warning light goes of but it randomly goes into limp mode when I kick down the throttle, turn off ignition all works fine????? First question after a bit of reading does my car have a diverter valve can't find any mention of it in the Hayes manual, as this seems to be a common fault with other cars, if I don't have a diverter valve what do I have to release the turbo pressure? Everyday is a learning day

Can you post a picture of the hose that keeps blowing off?

Screenshot_20200526_213020_com.ebay.mobile.jpg it's the one at the bottom of this pipe that connects to the turbo.

In the top right of the picture is that an engine breather valve that is on the pipe you are talking about ? Could that be blocked ?

I have no idea until I get home and look in the manual, what I do know is that pipe always seems to be oily inside when I disconnect it, I don't really know much about cars but I'm learning

That would need serious pressure to blow it off and there's no way for pressure to build in that pipe as it's effectively open at one end (air filter).

I have tightened it 5 times and every time I've come back to it after a few weeks it is loose barley on!!! I've ordered a new seal and clamp , but there is always oil residue in and around that area, even when I clean it all out, is this normal?

Yes , there is always oil , the breather tube/crankcase vent has a rubber seal inside which can fail .It allows excess pressure from the engine in the form of an oil/water mix .

Technically it's not oil it's condensate from the oil vapours mixed with some combustion byproducts, hence why it's filthy black.
