Hi - I have a factory fitted carphone kit using a sony ericsson K700i - does anyone else have this same set up and if so do you have problems with receiving in coming calls? I can see who is calling but one in every 3 or 4 calls just doesnt connect. Have had car back in and they have upgraded software - but still got same problem....any thoughts?

i've got a P910i, i think it uses the same kit as your k700i, i bought and fitted the car kit in my Vito myself, every now and then, when the phone rings, i answer it, but the sound doesn't come out, i either have to remove the phone and talk normally, or have to take the phone out of the holder and put it back in again, not too sure, but it may be a fault with the connectors on the phone-holder/phone. I never had the problem with my Nokia 6310i, or the Motorola Timeport, both of which i also bought and fitted myself.

I think you will have to change the holder cradle, send it back under guarantee if it is. there is nothing in the wiring that would do this, the fact that it works sometimes shows that.

I had trouble with mine the other day. It just stopped recognising the phone. I tried all the usual, phone on-off, in out of the cradle etc but nothing. Eventually I unclipped the cradle, blew at the connectors and clipped it back on. All fine since. Just a thought but a bit of muck could cause an intermittent fault.
