Passes every fuel station… except the next one…I might have been the intersting car sat at the side of the road in Lyne, there was fuel in it when I started the road test.

Yes, the original 427 hairy chested sports car. I had not heard of Backdraft until you mentioned them, initially I thought you were referring to the Daytona Coupe!A proper man’s car!
Have you had a look at the backdraft variant from the USA?

Loved the Cobra since I knew about cars. Helped a friend build a caterham 7 style kit car about 20yrs ago and, as everyone knows I dislike modern cars as they are plastic fantastic junk boxes so I know, either instructing or building my own, I could build something great.
Always seen what kits were available but having learned about the modern twists with super performance, or backdraft, factory five etc, you can really hone a build spec now. Being tall myself a backdraft would make most sense.
I plan to visit backdraft on my next trip to the USA.

Might be worth a visit to look at various models, there is usually a few hundred cars there tooHome - National Kit Car Show
This is the UK’s longest running kit car show offers an opportunity to see more kit cars in one place than at any other event on the planet.newarkkitcarfestival.co.uk
Make a weekend of it and visit the town too, civil war trail, historic market etcShame it's 191 miles from us (3 1/2 hours according to Google Maps) so too far to do in a day.
