I’d like to customise my interior to some extent but still have it look somewhat original. My interior color is beige so there isn’t much I can really do without changing the whole interior color. Any suggestions? I’m going to purchase leather seats as soon as I can find ones in Finland. The rear view mirror isn’t original, but I’ve ordered one from a scrapyard and it should be arriving soon. The steering wheel is not original either but I kinda like the look. I don’t really know what kinds of customizations I’m looking for, hence the forum thread. Would different colored seats perhaps go well with the beige interior? Also different colored floor mats? Maybe re-trimming the central areas of the doors with leather -and a different color?

Welcome :)

I think the beige/black combination looks really nice, especially the black grip on the window winder. I'd be inclined to continue that theme.

I'm not a fan of the sterring wheel though - sorry :(

Would you suggest changing any particular parts into black? Would this look stupid with black seats?

Black seats would look distinctive. Any colour other than beige or black would look odd.

DEFINITELY get some LED lights to go under the dash and shine down into the footwells. Costs about £10-15 and will transform the interior beyond belief.

IMO Black seats will not be an improvement. The interior is beige, having black seats IMO will look like someone has just changed the seats for a mis-matched set.
I think the interior looks great as it is. I have no strong opinion on the steering wheel.
My only advice is that if you do decide to change it, be subtle.

What if I change the seats and floor mats into a darker shade of brown, similar to the walnut center console? Would that look out of place?

We all have opinions, yours is the most important. I think any mismatch between dashboard and seats looks like it is a half job - IMO.

FWIW I had a lot of black cars with black interiors and for years tried to avoid getting yet another black on black. They are dark places. For me, I prefer to see the design characteristics of the interior, and black on black hides a lot of the lines and design.

Hello and welcome. What colour is the exterior as it looks like a light colour from what little I can see.

My honest thoughts are that it looks great as it is. I wouldn't touch it...

Thank you. Not sure of the official color code but it seems to be some shade of gray mixed with beige.

Condition also looks very good. Another + for keeping it the way it is. Sorry, I know this is not the advice you came for, but perhaps if you can see it the way we do, then you can spend your money on other things instead of changing the interior :) Win?

Thanks, knowing this, in my view, I’d be inclined to keep it as is
