interior illuminated door handle light bulb

help,one of the interior door handle lights has stopped working.im presuming this is a led bulb,if so can this be changed without removing the door card.any help would be welcome.

yes i did get a steering wheel,forgot to put up a piccy will do one soon.car goes in this friday for rust repairs done under warranty,this is both back wheel arches they want the car for about nine days.

Not so sure. They rarely go and I'd imagine are even more rarely replaced. I'd go to the dealers parts desk and have a look at their exploded diagrams. I dare say you're on the right lines with leds but normally, when removing door cards, you remove the plastic insert behind the handle first. If so, the bulb should come with it so you may not need to remove the card at all and it could be a very simple job.

They are LED's and when I tried to get one for the passenger seat of my W210 they couldn't find it on the system as they had never had one go. I went back through the wiring and found a connector lose

Over the door handles, my Yr2000 W210 had them so your W220 may have them also

I think you may have to replace the complete shell to the door handle...
