My passenger side rear window is on the blink I have checked the the switches and they are fine but when I took the car to my indie he said the motor needs a good hard tap. It worked for a while after that but stopped after which I took the panel card out and tapped it again but it didn't work at first.

A day after my tap it was very cold and lo it worked or a while now nothing help with this please.

Also when I was installing my leather trim I activated the passenger side seatbelt handover so I could thread it through the rear panel card. It bumped into the card as it missed the hole and then I changed my mind about having it extend to put the card on but now it won't work (extend) at all.

The vaccum to keep the passenger seat rigid when driving does n ot seem to work either are they linked?

also the other day as I was celebrating sucessfully installing new radiator (cost me £220 BTW, genuine merc) and I tried to adjust the drivers side wing mirror and interestingly enough the adjuster broke off. What will it take to repair this?

All the help possible is welcome......

Electric window motor. Check at the motor in the door. The windows are powered by two wires, both green. You should have a live feed on BOTH when the switch is NOT pressed. Press the switch up, one wire should now turn to earth. Press down should now reverse the process. Easy. If the wirings OK then replace the motor.
Seat belt extender. Ignition on. Slowly pull the arm out on it's runner to the full extension Try not to pull the triangle off & fall over backwards!! This may reset the arm.
The vacuum lock is not linked but you may have damaged a pipe in the areas you've been working. The hose can be cut & repaired with normal vacuum pipe available at any motor factors. Just follow the yellow pipe back & check for vacuum with your thumb over the end,

Didn't read it properly. I've not heard of one but then I've never looked to see if there is one either. Usually just jiggle with a small screwdriver, can't remember breaking one yet but I probably will now I've said that!

Think that I will make one from a piece of tubing with a slot to go over the pipe and open the clamp catches, I cant move one yet.
