intermittent fault with idle

e280 1993,
hi guys took her for a 50 mile run today and very odd, one minute will idle at every stop perfect at 650 RPM next 2-3 stops very rough and die, restarts no problem, sat in traffic for 15 mins and she purred at 650, couple of minutes later same thing again when i stopped at a set of lights she`s very rough on idle and dies, around town temp went to 90-95 and the idle and cut out seem to get worse, then it was ok again still at the same temp in traffic

te be honest im lost, it must be elec fault but what , can anyone help please

start at the basics

Sounds familiar.
Start with plugs, ALL 6 Ht leads; have good look at engine wiring harness, clean up top cover and contents. See my recent post on W124 ECU or coil?

thanks david for the reply, will try new ht leads this week, how much were they from eurocar parts
i`ve just fitted new,
bosch plus spark plugs,
lambda sensor,
battery,
and over the last year all sorts of other things but not the ht leads,
