Hello

In need of advie on how to solve this problem.

My heater is basically working when it wants to (intermittent). Ive tried playing with the fuses and relays but no joy.

Also the light on the dial on the right (the one that moves the direction of the air flow) isnt working, could this be linked ?

If it is the fan that is intermittent it could be that the motor brushes are worn out, there is a poor connection somewhere in the wiring from fuse to control to heater fan, or the fuse is not seated/clean in the fuse box.
On some models the fan is continuously variable with an electronic speed control on others the speeds are set by a switched resistance bank which can fail due to age/corrosion of its connections.

If you can find the wiring to the fan motor (somewhere under the plastics covers below the screen) try disconnecting them from the loom, with extension wires connect it straight to your battery and it should run at full speed.

If he does this then he should unplug the regulator,,it is solid state and will not like a reverse voltage going in
