- E350 CDI Coupe C207 2010
Morning all,
Recently I've had a sporadic, reoccurring problem when trying to start my 2010 C207. When the key is inserted the wheel moves into position as normal, the odometer displays the current mileage but when the key is turned... Nothing. No amber warning lights, no electronic steering lock mechanism sound and no ignition.
This video here seems to indicate it's not the ignition module (EIS) but the small £10 motor in the electronic steering lock (ELS).
Any experience of this on here before I pull the steering wheel? From research it seems to be a problem commonly found on 2010/2011 E and C classes.
