MB Member Television computer is down but thinks: This leaves a couple of things, some have the K38 starter lock out relay( where is this located on car?) and these are known to have poor connections on the spade push on connectors or is it the main starting one (where is this located on car?) .

(Engine not turning over, called AA. Battery ok, brake light switch operating ok, instrument lights and all other electric seem OK. Key turns to start position. AA man tried tapping starter, then went under car and bridged the solenoid to the starter, we now have a running engine the AA man suspects ignition switch but not sure. Drove home, tried to start again engine won't turnover. Few days later starts again & keeps starting, BUT I don’t feel confident to start driving it again.)

under the bonnet, passenger side, back against the bulkhead is a plastic case containing control units. remove the cover and there is the k40 module at the front with fuses in (check them) and starter relay (check it). the output to the starter is on the purple wire btw.

fuses OK & tried another non merc relay that has the same terminal configuration but no power to purple wire when key is turned to start position. anyone know colours of power wire into starter motor relay, and if I have no power in to relay where should I trace back to, what is the problem?

The car had started 10 times over 4 days, now dead again with no power at purple wire when the key is turned to the stare position.
