CLK/2005/220cdi
Hi All,

Just thought Id introduce myself as I am MB club member. new to this so not too sure how to use it.

Just picked up Mercedes CLK 220 CDI in silver 2005. only covered 70,000 M

Got few questions. it has got standard 17" alloy wheels. F 225/45/17 R 245/40/17

and I would like to upgrade it to 18" has anyone on forum has got same car and has already upgraded to 18" AMG wheel. what are your thoughts. is MPG lost and comfort. at the moment MPG is 40 and its excellent drive.

Please let me know if anyone has done this already.

I have already bought AMG kit and going in body shop this Wednesday

Many thanks

Just saying hello and welcome, re the wheels, it is said that larger wheels give a little less mileage owing to the weight. The ride will be harder as less sidewall, some are happy to do this as the car could look better.
