iPod - connect to Comand

As usual I am looking to pick some brains ..... I have a 52 plate S500 with Comand (this also has a CD changer in the boot), I would like to listen to my iPod through the system directly i.e. not using an FM transmitter or connecting via a tape lead, has anyone any ideas on how best to do this and what sort of prices I may be looking at (I know Halfords have something but I really don't want them playing around with my electricals).

Many Thanks

This is possible via the AUX port but you will need an AUX port connector to be wired into your comand.

I have a 2002 CLK which has an AUX port connected to my comand which allows my IPOD to connect to and play through the cars speaker system.

AUX Port

Thanks for that, anyone know of where such work can be done (outside of the high rates that and MB dealer is likely to charge)? I am in the Colchester (Essex) area.

Many Thanks
