Ipod integration kit Cardiff

Hi,

Does anyone know of a place where i can get the mb ipod integration kit fitted.Excluding mb dealer. I am looking at one on ebay and need to know who can fit this or is it simple to fit yourself? I am located in cardiff.

don't know Cardiff so can't help on that one - what I do know is that even if it is straightforward to fit ??? you need the computer wizadry to reset things so that you can control it using the steering wheel buttons - a decent indie with the kit could do it no problem - I got mine done - cost me 80 quid but well worth it - good luck

I've got mine running the CDC function on my 54 C Class. I still have to manually select tracks etc via the ipod but at least the sound quality is good, as my earlier one worked via an FM Modulator.

There was a more expensive option which used the phone controls and would be operated on the steering wheel controls and use the cars computer display for tracks menus etc.

Did it myself (used to do this for a living) but it wasn't that difficult as the kit plugs straight into the changer input and power from the cig lighter.

This is fairly straightforward. What car & model year is it for?

If its for an A, B or C class then I'll happily do it for you for £150 if you come to Woking. This includes coding if necessary We can also enable some 'hidden' features for you at the same time

You only need the car to be coded with DAS/Star if you dont have the telephone pre-wire. Otherwise it works fine with the steering wheel controls without any coding.

If you are buying from eBay, be very careful that you get the genuine Mercedes parts. There are copies out there that do not work very well!
