I see a little tip of oil at the diff of my w124 . Might be washer on bung or might be gasket . Any thing I need to look out for or is it a simple case of dropping off the rear plate and renewing gasket.

I would just keep an eye on it to see if it really is leaking, they can look messy

There is a breather on top of the diff, you can get a bit of blow-by sometimes, could look like a leak?
    cheers
