Help,

If I drive my 04 E class 320 slow, say in a traffic jam for more than a few mins, it appears to have some sort of governor invoked (like engine management) it will go up to 80 or more but very slow.

If I pull over and turn off the ignition and then carry on it is OK.

Any ideas?

When you restart the car the ecu compensates for the MAF ..air flow meter.. it is only when the MAf comes into play and the ecu cannot read the signals from it that the car goes into limp mode..

Sometimes you can unplug them to prove the point
