Is my engine (350) same as in CLS, SLK?

Currently have a M-class (350), is this the same engine as in a CLS or SLK?

think mine has 240bhp and the CLS / SLK has 270

If its the same can mine be 'remapped'

No. Your engine is the last of a design called 112, which we first saw about 10 years ago. The later 350s are a totally new engine, still a V6 but called 272.

The 113 is the "older but also still current" V8. The new V8 is a 273.

Thanks for that, what models was my engine in then the older SL's and S class?

If they didn't change it for that long I guess it must have been good.


Seems very quite and smooth
