The car looks clean but hard for us to value owing to different taxation rules.

There is not much in the way of extras that I can see.

Could do with some bigger pictures

Hello

Its roughly £11.5K Uk pounds, 132K miles and 8 years old..

Its hard for us to say as cars in Ireland are more exspensive. Is it worth you buying in the UK and importing it?

Funny as I sold a Fiesta and a MX5 to buyers in Ireland, apparently they are worth quite a lot even adding the mot style test and tax's.

I also imported a different Mx5 from dublin as it was cheaper....daft really.

This looked quite good having a quick look (new shape..)

thanks they both look like nice cars the 2003 is very nice

the euro to British Pound Exchange Rate
1.27 cent euro to 1 pound

which is great for buying in ireland if you are from england but and its a big but you have higher spec cars in england as they are so exp in ireland

i may take a trip some time this summer and find my dream car in england but the only thing is when i get back to ireland i must pay VRT on it and that could go in too thousands

Price, is down to the condition of the car, that would be up to you. Looks good but I wouldn’t like the mileage, there are a lot of dealers on carzone masquerading as private sellers, that tax disc looks to be of a UK car, no mention of NCT (M.O.T.) or disc visable. There are a lot of cars being imported into Ireland from UK due to the higher profits and sold via that site. Not putting you off, but tread carefully.

This is one I checked out on 1 January and its still for sale, it was €18,5000 then, with a story about an 86 year old previous owner who didn’t drive very much. Nothing wrong with UK cars but you can’t really check their story very easily.

WHATTTTT...!!???

€1300..!!! Is that regardless of age?

€1300 is an exaggeration but any car betweem 2.4 litres and 2.5 will cost €899 for a years tax in Ireland. System is based purely on engine capacity, (until very recently where they've introduced a new rate based on emmissions for newer cars.

On the engine size system the tax goes up every 100cc. Always been a rip off. Big jumps upwards after 2 litres and again after 2,.5 litres. Over 3 litres and you're on a flat rate of €1,231.

Rip off Republic. In more ways than just car tax.

What they really want you to do, is to all run around in those ridiculus G-Wiz thingys.
