Right, can anyone answer this.I have now received my E220Cdi 6 speed manual back from Mercedes having had a new ECU fitted at a cost of £1300.
Friend told me on first day of using my car that the reverse lights don't work, checked fuse and bulbs all OK.
Is this the reverse switch and I have read of a neutral safety swiitch is this the same item and would/could it have caused the original fault ie no starting.
I am not tecky minded, but it seems strange that reverse lights now do not work, they did before I took it in, is the Neutral safeyt switch in the start up circuit on a 6 speed manual. I have never tried to start it in gear so do not know if they are fitted on manuals or just autos.
