Only good thing about them is they're rare, and hopefully better made than 215.

I saw a CL500 on the back of a scrap lorry a year or so ago:shock:

It will be interesting to see how tight they feel after 100k miles, the paint work is good on the 216

I think they learn a lot of lessons from W220/W215 quality wise.

That said W221 have tumbled in price and W220 are pretty much worthless, apart from mine;)

The worst thing in my view is the doing away with the vacuum system, the way things are now I have the soft closing but the noise as this takes place defeat it. I have a feeling that they can also be temperamental on the electrics, we will see :D

We'll all be driving these soon enough:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyundai_Genesis

More likely these... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dacia_Sandero. Kias and Hyundais are going up in price as the quality/image/ambition increases.

Specced with a/c, abs, airbags, mp3 player, alloys, e/fw, rcl AND a 7 year warranty it's £7,500. Assuming it's worth scrap after warranty that's £1k a year for a useful size new car that has a reasonable write up and has proven very reliable in the rest of europe where its been on sale a while. economical renault diesel motors too.

When petrols even more expensive, most useful roads are congested and the good old 90s mercs become too old for daily use i'll have one of these as the daily and a nice w124 convertible for holidays/occasional weekend trips!!
