Being a newbie to both the forum and the marque, I am searching searching for anything and everything to gain the knowledge.
I read somewhere about corrosion on pre-2004 cars being an issue because the body shells were not galvanised like the newer models.
If I have full MB service history, and I buy my 2002 car from a dealer that is not MB, and I continue to get the car serviced regularly according to MB recommendations, and at an MB dealership.....phew...are we saying MB will still guarantee any body corrosion on the car?

Thanks

Yes I think that is how it works, I expect I will get shot down but you do have to balance the extra cost of MB servicing (unless you have one of the cheeper dealers nearby) against that of a good indy.
My nearest MB dealer quoted £515 for a B service compared to the £260 at an indy.
A few services like that and you could quite easily cover 'unforseen' costs.

It doesn't matter where you buy from, it does matter where you get the servicing done to most (but not all) dealers when it comes to corrosion warranty. The best information for you car with regard corrosion warranty is within your service booklet. If you follow that you should not go far wrong.
