Hi all,

I've just bought a 1983 W123 230ce, it's the newest car I have owned for a while I usually drive a 1966 Morris Minor and an old Mini Clubman Estate. But I just could not resist this big old coupe when I spotted it on Ebay.

I need some help with a few bit's as all this modern suff is a bit technical!

Where can I get good parts? I need door rubbers and window seals and service items.

Which spark plughs should I use?

Is there a work shop manual for the 230 ce?
Anything else you think I should know.

Thanks all . Ross

Can you post the link or some pics so we can all be jealous? I never see any bargains on ebay.

Pictures of my 230CE

Hi trying to attach pictures hope it works. It's my first running Mercedes, (I bought a 280E last year and broke it for parts to sell on Ebay. Problem was I could'nt get it out of my mind so I've now just bought this one).It cost me 800 it's got a good service history, it's done 144,000 miles and has 12 months MOT, it needs some work but it's solid, floors, cills doors are all good. I love it, driving a proper rear wheel drive again is great. I have replaced the cooling hoses, alternator and today have got the central locking working, I'm well pleased. Tomorrows job is rebuild the calipers and put new pads in.

Wonderfull car.

You should be able to get all the parts from dealers. They are not expensive and are good quality.

I understand Mercedes still manufactures parts for old models.

Well done, that looks very nice, bodywork looks pretty good. I quite like that colour. Unusual reg plate too. Sounds like a bargain if it's got 12 months MOT. Good luck with it.
