hi guys, I just changed the indicator stalk on my 1966 W110 as the old one was faulty (when pressing it forward lights would die, right indication also 'dropped' the lights).
WOW, it was such a breeze, I only had to
* remove the steering wheel (one nut)
* remove rubber surround at base of wire loom and indicator stalk
* disconnect two wires to the horn
* disconnect loom from connector to car electrics
* remove two screws holding indicator switch in place
* pull old wire loom+ indicator stalk out
and then put the new one back in, and re-do the above in reverse
to be honest I was not looking forward to this job but it took less than 10 minutes start to finish and now my lights/indicators are working perfectly,
imagine trying this on a modern car ? hah no chance
cheers
