That my almost new car (2019 e220) does not have a cylinder lock for the boot, hence no back up method to open boot in an emergency with the key blade..?
Or am i wrong?

Actually the opposite happened. Couldn't get the tailgate to latch for some reason (manual, not 'electric'). Then l moved the lock with a screwdriver a few times, that fixed it. Then a good dose of silicone spray to keep it going!

I checked the electronic mercedes app - "Guide" to the car. It says nothing about it. Did not check the paper manual though!

It was dropped from the 212 as well, so not a new thing unfortunately
