It could be a reproduction?

Made in China 1/ 1000000

:) :)

As long as you like it and happy with it then it doesn't matter what its worth. It will look nice in your new office.

Yeah, reckon it dates from 2008 and has a few added scrapes, dents and scratches for that 'vintage' effect.

lol :D

As a precaution it may be worth wax oiling it before you hang it :)

We had a few of them in our last kitchen, but with OXO & Birds Custard etc.
Copies of old advertising made out of cheap tin, but they still look good on the wall. In the kitchen or stored in the garage, the damp air does make them start to rust, in a dry atmosphere they should be OK.

The OP asked a question and got a few honest answers to that specific question. How is that being negative? Have we all to tell lies now just in case we offend anyone? Nothing personal, but I'm not sure you have a valid point in this instance.

It's as though people on this forum cant be happy for others, and are always pulling people down,

"like your car but.............."

The question was, "anyone know how old it is please".

The following answers pointed out it was probably not old at all, and rather than lasting 60 or 70 years as an original might have done, it may need to be preserved as it most likely would not last long otherwise.

To me, that is good advice. I can't see where you think people are being negative when they are pointing out the truth or sharing past experience of the item in question as I was.

Maybe we should all have answered, "must be at least 50 years old & should last for another 100 or so", is that better? Will we all live happily ever after now?

Its only cost £20, no one else bid so I got it for that, it might not be old but it looks it which is what I want in the office something old to break up the modern clean office.

I was going to hang some of my own paintings as I have rooms full of them and the old office has 4 in there at the moment but I want to place them around the house once the house is finished.
