K & N air filter

I have noticed today while cleaning my car that it has a K & N filter element fitted. I know oily filters can ruin MAS sensors just wondered if the general feeling was to remove it and fit a paper element type.

I have noticed today while cleaning my car that it has a K & N filter element fitted. I know oily filters can ruin MAS sensors just wondered if the general feeling was to remove it and fit a paper element type.

Mixed feelings on this one, some people say it does oil up the MAF,others say no problem, as they are supossed to be more effient than the paper sort, leave it in and see how it goes. The MAF can always be cleaned as shown in Parrots good thread.
