We've had a couple of these smaller Karchers, they don't seem to last long, the construction quality is not high. The frost finally killed them both IIRC. Gave up with jet washers after that. Even when working the pressure was insufficient to shift any dirt, they looked nice in yellow though.

My last Karcher died too ...Who'd have thought that the inside of a shed could get so cold? it pumped but spewed out as much water from its base as it did from the lance. Stripped it down so far but couldn't see anything obvious, so bought .... another Karcher so that the accessories I already had would fit.
Karcher do a repair service but I didn't think the cost justified it, hence my new pressure washer.
The plastic outlet 90 degree bend tends to crack with frost if left with water and it freezes. Easy repair spare part from spares about £10

Hi guys any help appreciated.
my karcher pressure washer died. So that’s the 3rd one I’ve had so I decided to try a Titan from screwfix. Same spec half the price, but unfortunately my karcher snow foam gun doesn’t fit and it doesn’t have a screw on fitting. Can you get a converter to go from karcher fittings to Titan.
Update
I noticed that the MacAllistair pressure washer accessories at B&Q looked very like the fittings on the Titan pressure washer, from screwfix. I am pleased to report they are the same. So a £5 adapter from the macallister range allows you to use all your karcher attachments.

Horses for courses really spend £350 on a pressure washer with a metal pump (Bosch - as I did) or £150 on a Karcher with a plastic pump - having dismantled a Karcher I’d never buy another

One of the reasons I bought the Titan, aluminium pump ;)

Karchers are the Dysons of the pressure washer world, they should have their own container at the tip.

I recently got a Nilfisk in December and gave my Karcher to my dad. Completely different quality the Nilfisk even feels so much more better
I have to agree with you. A few years ago my "cheap and cheerful" Karcher died - it seemed to have been a victim of the cold and when I ran it, I had smoke pouring out so I stripped it down and one look was enough. I bought a Nilfisk from Screwdix - also quite cheap but oh boy - what a difference! That one also lives in my garage and the only difference is that it's kept in its original box to give a little insulation. It hasn't really had very much use lately (arthritis) but after quite a few years it's as good as when I first bought it. Excellent for clearing driveway of leaves!

My dad (RIP) was an engineer and production manager for an agricultural spray equipment company in NZ.
He alway told me never to buy a Karcher as they're rubbish.

I did buy one (it's was too cheap not to) and he was right - it was rubbish. After 3 years it died and was replaced by a Nilfisk which has been abused and neglected for 10 years and still comes back for more.
It's had a new high pressure hose and that's it. It's even been left outside all winter and still survived!

I looked into buying a petrol type but the weight of the thing put me off and I didn’t need the extra power, the Bosch electric 160 bar does all I need and the drive lasts 2/3 years after it’s been done at that pressure

I remember 30 odd years ago the service engineer for our power washers saying that all these big companies B&Q, Homebase and the likes would ask if they could make a power washer for under £100. Sure if we put in this cheap part and that cheap part we could do it. That was the last of good quality. It's all done to cheap cost these days.
