Saw a couple of new members make intros so though hey why not me too. Joined bout an hour ago own a C180 Avantgarde bought two months(pix to follow). It's my second merc had a C240 bout a year ago which I thoroughly enjoyed driving but had to sell with soaring petrol prices - she was juicy. couple cars later I'm back to a merc. Liking it but disappointed with the bhp and torque so looking for option to increase performance and who better to ask than the practioners themselves. So all ideas, suggestions and advice welcome.

I had a C320 until early last year, same as yourself, cost a mint to run!!

swap it for a C220cdi?

You could try a K&N filter and a chip but unless you're going to spend mega bucks you're not going to get much more out of a C180.

Agree - when ur in a merc ur never in a rush.

The 2 litre non turbo/supercharged M111 engines are thirsty. Max mpg i can get is 33 with round town down to 19. Emissions are all ok and the usual servicing has been carried out, no matter what i do i can't improve on these figures.
