Hi I have a w205 c class estate with basic 5 star silver wheels, one of the wheels has been kerbed. Can anyone tell the paint code or the name of paint I will require to repair the rim. (used to be a panel beater spray painter)

Can't help with the paint code/name, but very interested to hear how you plan on doing this job.

I have seen guys do this online with Dremel sander -> Filler -> Wet sand (multiple grades) -> IPA clean -> Spray multiple coats paint -> spray clear coat.

There was also a step for using polisher, but cant' remember which stage it is.

Is this something similar to your process? Cheers.

I rub down with wet/dry sand paper, starting with 180 grit and get finer. Next prime and filler with a stopper if required then rub down, mask and paint (rattle can) and finally clear coat.

I don't know what other people do.

Cool, sounds good to me.. I think he used the Dremel to smooth help reduce the protruding jagged edges, but sandpaper would probably do same.

Don't forget to post before and after pics? :)

Ford Moondust Silver is also a close match to OEM. Wurth make a alloy wheel paint which is a good match
