Key fob vaccum

Where is the key fob vaccum or its transmitter sensors located in mercedes c-class 200 elegance (2002 Reg) can you help?

Is the car a 202 or 203 please, the 202 is all vacuum and the 203 is all electric

if the car locks with the inside button, then the pumps OK, you need to be sure that the key is sending an IR signal by pointing it into a digital camera first

OK so all electric locking,,,, do check fuse 8 to see if it has blown

Does the car lock all doors from inside

Yes all doors can lock from inside very well with no problem by using the lock button on the dashboard, the only trouble are using the keys.

Ok and have you tried locking with the key held one inch from the drivers door handle

Yes, I did but nothing happened and as I said before sometime it does work even from a distance but this wouldn't last long then it will stop working.

I would suggest that you get the car on STAR, if fuse 8 has not blown it needs further investigation
