hi guys, i have a problem! i've lost my keys on a 200 journey with numerous stop starts, yes i was in a different vehicle my book says the spare key does not have a battery so i take it this can not start the car?
does anybody have any idea of the cost and time factor to get one from mb dealer??

That car should have the plastic EIS key, the metal will not start it.

The earlier version had the flip out key, that has a metal blade that will start the car

thanks for the reply it is that eis key that is lost! along with front door safe oh and gods knows what else, i think it's a mb job don't you?

having just rushed to replace the battery in my pacemaker, god that is expensive, i gather this is a dealer only job, and no other options available they have one buy the short an curly's
