Key remote control?

Hi does any know how to reprogramme a single button key fob for a w202.
I was going to buy one on flebay but am not sure if i can get it reprogrammed to suit my c class ?

fix it or buy a new one from Mercedes

Ask a TV repair man to check it out, they are used to doing this sort of thing

I did this repair a week or two ago. It is not difficult but you do need a small soldering iron and a steady hand. A magnifier helps as well. New keys are £200 from MB only, no others will work as they are tied to the VIN, so it is worth the try.

I used to do it but many the people never paid me. The ones in the link only fix the locking faults and they are dead easy, the hard ones that I started doing was to replace the coils for starting, but as above too hard to get the £40 to pay for the job

You can only get one from a MB dealer circa £220

And you need to take with you the V5, passport, proof of address plus the money. All in a very helpful little leaflet from MB.
