Hardly a scam - probably MB owners who bought them off ebay, and then found out that they are unable to be re-programmed, so off-loaded them back onto ebay.

I know that's true, because that's what I did -

I just bought one off eBay to replace the battered case from my old key. Have swapped the internals and now the key looks brand new. All for just £6

Has anyone ever disassembled the sinlge button flip out blade key for a 1994 W124 with the lights in the door handle? Mine works only if you give the key a tap on your leg and hold it button side down whilst pointing it at the car. The key rattles after being dropped, and I imagine all it needs is splitting open, a simple repair and reassembly.


Any pointers? As it is the only key I have, I do not want to destroy it..... Especially as the car is for sale....
