labour time?

how long should it take for an experienced MB tech to change both rocker cover gaskets, aux.drive belt (ie fan belt!) and both air filters on my w140 500se??

My guess would be 2 hours max...

answers on a postcard!.....

Belt takes 5 mins, rocker gaskets roughly an hour.

Its not so much how long it would take, more how long the is book time for the job. i would say about 2 hours would be about right.

i would say you are about half an hour too much at two hours, however their high cost hourly rates are based on 12 months parts and labour guarantee, hold on to your receipt, rocker gaskets can be difficult to seal and may leak after a few months time. new belts have been known to break at the splice joint. best of luck. herbiemercman.
