Lacking Power

I have got a C 220 Cdi Manual transmission. I have noticed- it lacks punch when pulling with A/C.

driving this morning - lost speed and was struggling to cope with the 4th gear, then i came down to 3rd - i felt the turbo (do CDI's have turbos?) lacked punch.

something wrong with my car- or is it my driving?

i have a c230 kompressor, trip tronic, i could be that ur turbo deosent have connection with blowout or intercooler, or it could simply just be running oil, my mercedes is just supercharged and it does good for a 4cyl but i think u should get ur turbo checked, its probly not even boosting correctly, if it doesent have a turbo then its the transmition, it might be, because wen u race two different cars with the same engine potential thm its all up to ur transmition to determine ur punch.

It could be the turbo but it could just be safe mode kicking in as a result of a dodgy sensor. Safest thing is to get the codes read. It could be the MAF giving up - it normally is and isn't serious provided you get it sorted quickly.
I can't see what difference the A/C is going to make. Sure on a 1.1l but not on the 220cdi.

Most likely MAF, an easy fix.....
