I am considering buying a late 80s / early 90s SL as my everyday, work-and-back car. I cover about 15k miles per year mostly on the 40 mile round trip to work and back. Also, i am completely non-practical/mechanical so reliability, start-go-stop, no dirty hands is fairly key to me. i am looking to spend up to £10k and probably favour the squarer 80s model over the later version. Am i being sensible or should i stick with something more recent? Thoughts and experiences gratefully received. :)
