It is dripping at the both passanger and driver sides, where the roof connects with the windshield. I am posting pics as well.

SLK230 R170 Roof Leaks

I have same problem of roof leak from passenger side in same area as in initial post.

Mercedes Specialist has tried adjustments and Mercedes recommended sealants to no avail

Have resorted to tupperware container and black towels to match the seats!

Would appreciate any info you have to enable me to fix this

It's same as Paddy700d (page 1 of this thread) but on an SL350 (2007).

I can post pictures later tonight if still required.

Thank you for your time.

Is the seal damaged over the window, if it is you can replace it.

Open the roof and turn off when open about 12" place a piece of wood between the top A rail and the roof front and let the roof slide forward. the gong may sound but that will stop. the picture below is for a 230 but all the same. The roof will stay where it is for 7 mins without any wood holding it open, but safer and easier with the wood.

Undo the 3 screws hold the rubber trim on and remove and replace it

SLK Kompressor convertible 2.3
I have a 54 SLK Kompressor Convertble with a leak that appears to be coming from the small drainage hole in the rubber seal at the top of the passenger door. There also appears to be some water collecting in the boot which is causing condensation on the boot lid. It looks like it might be a mis aligned roof but I am really stuck. Any help anyone?

w172 slk with standard roof - leak near driver a pillar

Hi,
my slk 350 w172 has now got the roof leak issue. There doesnt appear to be any gap in the rubber, and I have used silicon grease to keep it in good condition along its length and the joints.

I have removed the roof 'lining' and can see that the water is appearing from behind the side rubber seal above the door window, behind the retaining strip with the two screws.
The water does not appear immediately it kind of seeps slowly and fills up the little collecting seal at the top of the drivers 'A' pillar. So drying this before driving away helps only a little, as the water behind the retaining strip continues to seep in to the collecting seal and then drips when braking or accelerating. I wish it would just follow the expected path down the a pillar drain, but it just sits there instead (the way is clear but surface tension just stops it)

I would like to know if the solution is to remove the seal and refit with silicone grease or sealant? If so how do you remove the seal? I removed the two retaining screws but the seal didn't want to budge.

Greatful for any advice regarding this issue.
