Leaky 280sl

I have a 1986 280sl. It has a bad leak in the drivers footwell seems to be coming from under the dash, and another leak in the boot that accumalates in the jack well next to the petrol cap. Any ideas ?

Hi,
Not sure about the leak in the drivers footwell. But had similar problem with my boot on my SLC where the jack sits - discovered it to be the rubber seal around the boot base where the bootlid closes onto. (Back right corner as you look with the boot open). I re-aligned the rubber seal and re-attached it and no further problems there. I think you can also buy a replacement rubber seal if your one has perished.

Dont forget the heater air intake box that can block up, check the drain holes
