:?: Hi all
Spring is coming (they say) and I'm giving the 1987 300SL a prop shaft overhaul. New front flexi coupling and central bearing. Hoping it's going to stop all those noises.
Any way that not the problem. Whilst underneath I noticed fluid leaking from the kick-down switch, black thing with large hex nut and single wire at the back of the box. I've got manuals but the auto box is a separate manual I've only got the chassis and body and the engine manual.
I assume there is some sort of O ring seal where it enters the body but am worried that all the cogs will end up on the floor. Can I simply remove the thing and replace the seal?
Any help, as ever
Barrie
