The snag with LED bulbs is that as they use less current that normal bulbs the lamp out warning will not work and it will be on all of the time.

Only by fitting a series resistor of a 5W size and these get hot and are difficult to put somewhere. The Osram bright stars are a good alternative and I use them in my indicators to loose the yellow look

Hi,
If the LED bulbs are for only the instrument cluster, they should be ok as there not on the bulb failure circuit.

Sorry I messed up on your thread.

lets start again, in your instrument cluster you have 2 different types of bulbs

The main ones are 2 watt of the glass type with the flat end that just push into the socket, and then turn to lock in the cluster 17 and 20 in the link

The tel tale lamps are smaller and 1.5 watt, the push into the socket and a quarter turn to lock them, 14 in the link.

I would not use LED if they do come in this size as the instrument dimming would hardly work at all

The lamps in your cluster dim by turning the mileometer set knob. Though LED's will dim to a point, it could be out of line with other dimming lamps in the car.

I did not see them in the link

But if they do, then try some, just a little bit of extra work to change them back to normal bulbs
